Why is it that some people....

who reach the age of 65 or more and seem to be in reasonable health, lose what little brain matter they have left.

Diane (my Mother) is a perfect example. Lately we have been letting our cats (with the exception of O'Malley) outside. Figaro Jr, however takes 3 days to come back in and because of that we had made the decision to leave him in with O'Malley, both for his safety and our piece of mind.

Well, this morning, while I was taking a shower, Diane decides to let the cats who were outside, back in without watching for Fig. Naturally he seized the opportunity and got out. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Her excuse to me was she mistook him for Tiger. I find that hard to believe because Tiger is striped and Fig looks exactly like his brother Vic but Fig is ginger in color, while Vic is black and white.

Now, after just getting rid of my latest insomnia battle, I get to start a new one, because guaranteed Fig will not come in for three days.

Thankfully Diane leaves for the summer in two weeks. Mind you, I don't think I'm going to be able to last that long.

Oh man, Sis, that really sucks... :( I'm not sure how it's possible to mistake ginger for black and white, unless she's color-blind.... *shrug* I hope Figaro comes back safe and sound...

I heard that there was an emergency with Gram. I hope you're going to fill us in on what's going on, Shari............

Thanks! :) I'm uber-excited about it, that's for sure - especially because the monitor is much bigger, which will be much easier on my eyes. :) I won't be starting the rest of the work tonight (obviously), but I will be getting on it first thing tomorrow morning. There's not much left to do in the office, but what there is, is pretty time-consuming.

As for Gram, check your email, Sis...

Hi Sis. *waves* Just popping in for a quick minute to say thanks for coming by to visit, and to let you know that I'm almost back into my rhythm again. I still have lots to do, yet, but at least I've got the new computer up and running (I do have my priorities LOL), now.

I hope you'll be posting here again soon. I check in here all the time to see what's new... :)

Have a good day and a great weekend, sweetie. I'll be back again soon, and I hope you'll be back here again, too. :) *hugs*

Hey Sis, just popping in to see what's new. Weather here is pretty bad; we're back to near-arctic conditions, again. ::sigh:: Weather has been all over the place so mucht that both hubby and I are down with colds, now, and it really sucks. :(

Anyhoo... Looking forward to your next post; heck, I wish you would post more often, to tell you the truth. But, you have a lot going on, I know, so I just go with what you're able to give. :) Have a good day and a good week ahead, hon. ::hug::

Hey, Sis. ::wave:: Just dropping in to see what's new and wish you a great weekend. :) Now that Diane has finally left, I'll definitely be watching your blog a lot more than I already do, just to see what kind of adventures you've had. ::big grin::

Have a great weekend, and please give Gram hugs and loves from me. (((HUGS)))

Well, Shari, you ask a good question. Personally, I don't think there is an easy way to tell someone they're getting heavy. I did check out the link you gave me, but unless she's really changed her appearance, I didn't see D anywhere, so I have no way of knowing what's what.

Did she go off that diet she was on when I was out there? She was doing so well on that diet; are you saying that she's gone off of it and has put the weight back on?

Email me with a link, instead of posting it at WTG, okay? It's more private that way...

(((Hugs)))

ROFLMAO!! So the chili story was actually quite appropriate, then! HAHAHA! :D

Hey Shar. Glad to hear Gram is okay. I'm sorry to hear things aren't so good with you, though; I hope that changes for the better in a hurry...

Just an FYI, I removed the comment in my Guestbook after I read it, because it wasn't an appropriate place to put it. For things like that, if you could email me privately, that might be better; I don't think you want the whole world knowing about something so personal as that... (((Hugs))))

It's hard to write about the stuff that's really bothering us, I know. But TRY. The more you write, the easier it will become... You know you and Gram are always in my thoughts, Sis; I hope that whatever is going on will get better.... ((((HUGS))))))

Hey Sis. ::waving:: Just checking in to see if you've posted anything new here. :) Guess I'll see you at the Tree, eh? *hug*
